    Women of Vision 2022

A woman's universe revolves around softness and strength. The balance between these two qualities plays an essential role in dealing with her reality. Society links feminity to motherhood, and therefore it associates women with having a soft touch. The general perception, and sometimes the expectation, is that women are soft, kind, and gentle. And while many are, there are, of course, so many more dimensions to womanhood.

Circumstances such as war, immigration, social conflicts, discrimination, and many others, can mutate softness into strength. Being mothers, workers, heads of household, or simply being in charge of their lives in an uneven playfield, in many cases skewed to their disadvantage, requires women to tap into their inner force and embrace life with strength and courage.

The video artists and filmmakers in this exhibition bring out these two qualities, with authenticity and boldness. It's a privilege to be able to have a glimpse inside these artists' souls, their world, and their vision about what it means to be a woman, with strength and softness in motion.
